We’re back with our first Meet the Team feature of 2026, and this time, we’re highlighting a rising star within Green Ginger Digital.
Nina joined us in October 2024 as a Junior Executive on an apprenticeship, and has been a valued, respected and go-getting member of our team ever since.
Let’s get to know a little more about her, shall we?
Tell us a bit about your role here at Green Ginger Digital
I work within the Paid Media team at Green Ginger Digital, where my role involves analysing data, setting up & optimising paid campaigns across multiple platforms, feed optimisation, budget management, and more. I work with a range of clients, including Face the Future, Luxurious Look, and Tiny Bed Company.
My role requires me to adapt quickly, be proactive, and keep up to date with the latest trends and platform changes to stay ahead and ensure the best possible results for our clients.
What does a typical day look like for you?
The first thing I do every morning is review the previous day’s performance across all my clients. This allows me to make relevant optimisations to maximise growth and efficiency.
My day also involves extensive promotional preparation and campaign launches, alongside data reporting. Every day is different, and much of my work is reactive to performance, so I am constantly tracking key metrics across platforms such as Shopify, Google Ads, and GA4.
What was your career journey like before joining the team? Any interesting twists or turns?
Before joining Green Ginger Digital as an apprentice, I worked in the hospitality industry, making coffee in Australia.
After finishing my A levels, I took a gap year as I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do career-wise, but I knew university wasn’t the right path for me. During this time, I discovered digital marketing through online courses and came across the performance marketing apprenticeship role at GGD.
Business was my favourite subject at school, and I particularly liked the marketing side of it, so I decided to explore it further and quickly realised it was something I was genuinely interested in and wanted to learn more.
What’s your favourite part of the job? And what’s the most challenging?
I enjoy working with a team on projects, sharing ideas, planning, and identifying new growth opportunities for our clients. I also really enjoy the problem-solving side of the job.
The most challenging part is that the industry can be very fast-paced and demanding at times, which means I need to constantly adapt and be steps ahead, wherever possible.
What would you say is your area of expertise? What do people always come to you for help with?
I’d say my main area of expertise is analysing performance data and understanding how different metrics work and influence each other. This allows me to identify opportunities, actions and communicate insights effectively back to my team and clients.
Do you have any advice for someone looking to enter your line of work?
My biggest piece of advice is to stay curious and open to learning and adapting.
Digital marketing is constantly evolving, so staying up to date and continuously learning are key. If you have no prior experience in digital marketing, I would recommend an apprenticeship, as it provides hands-on experience while you work toward a qualification.
What’s a tool, app or trick you can’t live without in your work?
One tool I use every day and find essential in my job is Asana.
It helps me stay organised by planning my tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring I don’t miss anything. As I juggle multiple clients and different tasks each day, Asana makes it easy to organise my work by project and priority. It also allows me to collaborate with the team on projects, ensuring everyone is aligned and helps us stay on track.
How do you stay sharp and keep learning in your role?
I stay up to date with industry news through newsletters such as Search Engine Land and on LinkedIn, where I am connected with many other digital marketers and industry thought leaders.
I also continue to ask questions and try new skills, tools, and platforms to keep learning in my role and expand my skill set. As I mentioned, I really recommend the apprenticeship route into digital marketing as it has helped me build on theoretical foundations with real-world experience, and there are so many fantastic people to learn from within Green Ginger Digital, which also keeps me sharp and always learning – even across other disciplines like Technical SEO or Growth Forecasting, giving me a more holistic view of digital performance.
What advice do you wish you could give to your younger self when starting in your career?
I would tell my younger self not to put too much pressure on myself to have everything figured out straight away. It’s ok to take your time, explore different paths and find what you’re genuinely interested in.
And finally… what do you love most about being part of GGD?
I think most of us have given the same answer, which is evidence in itself, but I love working with such a talented and supportive team. Everyone is always willing to help each other, and it’s great to be part of a rewarding environment.
