What is the role? 

Green Ginger is experiencing rapid client growth and has ambitious plans for the future. We are seeking an experienced Performance Marketing Manager to maximise our client’s performance, support our growing team, and refine our paid media strategies. This role will focus on managing and optimising Paid Media performance, ensuring we meet and exceed our clients’ targets.

You will have a minimum of two years’ experience handling Paid Media activity across platforms such as Google and Meta, with the ability to demonstrate a clear strategic understanding of all elements of Paid Search and proactively translate into performance for our clients. 

Staying abreast of industry updates will be key to ensure you are able to drive your client’s performance forward, sharing knowledge with the wider team and setting ‘best practice’ across our client portfolio. You will be confident in challenging the norm and proactively look for client improvement opportunities. 

You will be driving and developing ongoing relationships with clients including senior stakeholders, showcasing an ability to adapt communication and approach based on audience. Communication skills are a vital part of the role to keep our clients updated with current tactics, tests and new ideas. Commercial awareness will also be key to ensure that profitability is maintained for Green Ginger across Performance Marketing portfolio. 

This role is with a view for the right candidate to step up to become part of the Senior Leadership Team, owning the Paid Search proposition and playing a crucial role in the continued growth of the business. 


Requirements 

  • Prior 3+ years’ experience managing Paid Search, preferably with Paid Social 
  • A passion for driving client growth and hitting KPIs 
  • Highly confident in communicating and developing/maintaining relationships, with senior client stakeholders and internal team members 
  • A keen eye for detail with experience and confidence in performance analysis and the ability to analyse trends and make decisions based on data 
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint 
  • A self-starter with a drive for career progression within an exciting agency environment 
  • Proactively deliver and receive feedback to develop self-learning and team culture 
  • Confident in communicating on video calls and in-person with clients  
  • Consistently able to complete reporting, analysis and showcase this confidently to clients

Key Responsibilities 

Paid Search Management:

  • Own the Paid Search performance for our clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
  • Challenge, adapt, and improve client strategies to enhance performance based on key success metrics. 
  • Develop and lead testing plans for our clients to improve performance, driving quarterly plans with the wider team both internally and externally. 
  • Confidently set client strategy, adapting account structures based on client requirements and KPIs.

Client Relationship Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including senior stakeholders. 
  • Adapt communication style to effectively convey strategies and updates to diverse audiences. 
  • Own strategic performance presentations, ensuring a clear and relevant story is identified and delivered. 
  • Regularly keep clients informed about current tactics, tests, and new ideas.

Industry Expertise: 

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and updates, applying these to clients where relevant. 
  • Share insights and best practices with the wider team to improve our business proposition. 
  • Lead implementation and testing of new betas and releases, developing a roll-out plan for our client base and sharing results with the wider team. 
  • Represent Green Ginger at industry events, contributing with industry-leading insights and ideas. 
  • Own relationships with search engines and relevant third parties to gain agency-leading insights. 


Commercial Awareness: 

  • Ensure profitability is maintained across the Performance Marketing portfolio. 
  • Develop a commercial viewpoint, understanding the impact of Paid Media on the wider channel mix and client strategy.
  • Develop a strategy to promote and improve Google Partner Status. 
  • Identify client upsell opportunities and work with the Performance Marketing Director to secure new opportunities for the current client base. 
  • Support new business pitches with best-in-class strategies, presenting to senior client stakeholders with confidence. 
  • Own client utilisation against commercials, working with the team and Client Services Director.

Leadership: 

  • Support with identifying and managing knowledge gaps within the current team. 
  • Create and execute a learning development plan to address gaps and upskill the wider team. 
  • Upskill current team members to improve productivity and performance for clients. 
  • Prepare to step into a Senior Leadership role, taking ownership of the Paid Search proposition. 
  • Develop the agency proposition for paid channels alongside the Performance Marketing Director, ensuring these create a point of differentiation for Green Ginger within the agency market.
