What is the role?

In the role of Performance Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include owning client performance vs. targets and proactively developing strategic roadmaps to drive client growth.  

You will be tasked with creating a positive working relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring communication is strong and strategic progress is made for each client. Ensuring that clients are serviced to the correct commercials is essential, working closely with the Client Services Director to ensure this is achievable. 

The role will also involve management of Google, Bing & Meta accounts overseeing optimisation, account maintenance and strategic testing plan in addition to working with the wider team to set best practice. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead client relationships managing all communication around performance targets, activation plans and ways of working 
  • Ownership of client utilisation against commercials, working with CSD 
  • Creation of strategic quarterly plans and ownership of their delivery 
  • Oversee account set up and management including all BAU and optimisation with support from Performance Marketing Executives 
  • Confidentially build account and campaign structures that are aligned to clients KPIs 
  • Keep abreast of the latest search news, trends, and technologies to support GGD search strategy and best practice 
  • Accurately analyse performance vs KPIs with insightful and actionable recommendations and expert attention to detail  
  • Support with further developing the GGD Search & Social strategy alongside the PMD 
  • Deliver strategic performance presentations with support from PMD, ensuring that a clear and relevant story is identified 
  • Identify client upsell opportunities and work with PMD to secure new opportunities for current client base 
  • Use the onboarding plan when launching new clients, adapting where necessary to fit client requirements 
  • Monitor and analyse performance data, identifying issues and opportunities relevant to client objectives  
  • Proactively escalating performance challenges with a solution-based approach 
  • Creation of process documents to support overarching GGD training hub development and best practice process 
  • Manage, build, and amend Data Studio reports to suit client requirements 
  • Manage third party relationships when required 
  • Ad hoc tasks and support as required for the business 
  • Support and upskill junior members of the team aiding their L&D 

 

Requirements

  • Prior experience in performance marketing at manager level 
  •  A passion for driving client growth and hitting KPIs 
  • Highly confident in communicating and developing/maintaining relationships 
  • A keen eye for detail with experience and confidence in performance analysis and the ability to analyse trends and make decisions based on data 
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint 
  • A creative and forward thinker, not afraid to share ideas and think differently 
  • Proactively deliver and receive feedback to develop self-learning and team culture 
  • Confident in communicating on video calls with clients and able to report performance, adapting for each client 

What we’d love you to have (but isn’t a requirement)

  • Working knowledge of Google and Bing Ads 
  • Experienced in using Google Analytics 
  • Paid Social experience including Facebook and Instagram 
  • Experience using Data Studio  
  • Understanding or interest in SEO 
  • Understanding of general marketing mix for eCommerce
